Is this a real down pillow?
No. It is a down alternative pillow filled with Cooling Poly-Gel Fiber. The fill mimics the plush, moldable feel of natural down without any feathers or animal products. It is OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified, hypoallergenic, and 100% animal free.
What is it made of?
Two layers. The fill is Cooling Poly-Gel Fiber, OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified. The shell is 280 thread count long-staple cotton percale with a MicronOne® allergen barrier woven right into the fabric. Every pillow comes with a matching cotton percale pillow protector with a hidden zipper, a $35 value.
What is MicronOne® and why does it matter?
MicronOne® is an allergen barrier fabric woven directly into the pillow shell. It blocks particles as small as 1 micron—that includes dust mites, pollen, pet dander, and bed bugs. A standard pillowcase does not block allergens at this level. Because the barrier is built into the weave itself rather than applied as a coating, it does not wash away or degrade with regular laundering.
Which loft should I choose?
It depends on how you sleep. Stomach sleepers do better with the Soft loft (27oz) because the lower profile keeps your head level and your spine neutral. Side and back sleepers do better with the Overstuffed loft (55oz) because the extra fill height supports the space between your shoulder and neck. If you switch positions during the night, go with Overstuffed.
Can I wash it?
Yes. Machine wash on a gentle cycle with mild detergent, cold or warm water. Tumble dry on low heat with a couple of dryer balls until completely dry—do not leave it damp or the fill will clump. Washing the included pillow protector weekly or bi-weekly means you can deep clean the pillow itself every one to three months rather than after every use.
How long will it last?
With regular washing and proper drying, expect good loft and support for two to three years. The clearest sign it needs replacing is when it stops re-lofting after you fluff it. Using the included pillow protector and making sure the pillow is completely dry before putting it back on the bed both extend its life.
What sizes are available?
Standard/Queen (20” × 28”) and King (20” × 36”). Standard/Queen fits all standard and queen pillowcases. King fits king pillowcases. If your pillowcase has a zipper closure, measure the opening first to make sure the pillow slides in without forcing it.
Is it good for people with allergies?
Yes. The MicronOne® barrier fabric blocks dust mites, pollen, pet dander, and bed bugs down to one micron. The Cooling Poly-Gel Fiber fill is hypoallergenic and OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified. No feathers, no down, no animal products of any kind. Washing the included pillow protector regularly keeps allergen buildup in check.

How does it compare to memory foam?
Memory foam contours to your head and neck but traps heat and can feel stiff. It is also not machine washable. This pillow compresses and re-lofts, breathes through the percale shell, and goes straight in the washer when it needs a clean. If you sleep hot or want a pillow you can actually maintain at home, this is the better option for most people.
How does it compare to real down?
Real down is plush and durable but can trigger allergies, is harder to wash at home, and contains animal products. This pillow delivers the same plush, moldable feel, is fully machine washable, 100% animal free, and built with a MicronOne® allergen barrier that real down pillows do not have.
Is the Pillow Guy version the same as the Pillow Gal version?
Yes. Both use the same Cooling Poly-Gel Fiber fill, the same 280 thread count cotton percale shell, the same MicronOne® allergen barrier, and the same fill weights. The difference is purely in the finishing details. The Pillow Guy version comes with a classic white cotton pillow protector. The Pillow Gal version comes with a PG Pink cotton pillow protector and signature PG Pink satin piping on the pillow itself. Same pillow, different look.

    Literally the coolest pillow

    I’ve been sleeping on my Pillow Guy pillow for a few weeks now, and one of my favorite things is how cool it stays throughout the night. It feels supportive without being too firm, and I don’t wake up constantly flipping my pillow over to find the cool side. Such a simple upgrade that’s made a big difference in my sleep.

    My sleep completely changed! Game-changer 🌙

    Awesome pillows and excellent customer service!

    I ordered stomach sleeper and back sleeper pillows and clicked too quickly through the online order form that I accidentally left an incorrect delivery address in the order. I quickly reached out to customer service to attempt to change the address but despite the Reps attempts to correct my error the pillows still delivered to the incorrect address. I notified PG and I couldn’t believe it within 2 days I had a replacement order, to the correct address! We’ve had 2 nights sleep with our new pillows and we love them. Very comfortable and the stomach sleeper in the house isn’t throwing pillows on the floor anymore to get comfortable!
